CO2 Gas regulator, flowmeter and solenoid kit - this is a high-quality unit
Carbon Dioxide injection systems include
- a regulator to keep the gas at constant pressure,
- A solenoid with a 240V Australian plug, that is designed not to freeze up when the ice-cold CO2 gas flows through it.
- a flow meter that allows you to set the amount of flow to suit a large or small room
Cheap CO2 systems jam in the open position, emptying your entire CO2 cylinder into the growing environment costing you crop damage, the cost of refilling the tank, and possibly making a human sick or worse. We will not sell them as our experience in the past has been terrible for the home grower and farmer alike.
Usually, we suggest using a 4mm hose from the CO2 unit to the back of a recirculation fan in more small to medium rooms. In larger rooms, running more hose to multiple points may be better. Avoid spraying high CO2 concentration directly at any CO2 sensors.
This unit should be plugged into a controller such as the Proleaf or Trolmaster systems which read the CO2 levels in the grow room and add CO2 to the correct level. We recommend levels of 300-1000 for normal growth, 1000-1500ppm for enhanced crops. DO not exceed 2000ppm or plant damage will occur and do not spend time in CO2 rooms that are not ventilated every 1-3 days as oxygen levels and CO2 levels may be dangerous for humans. Above 1000ppm limit exposure time, and do not spend time in a room with over 3000ppm.
Familiarise yourself with safe CO2 levels before using any CO2 device. Symptoms of too much CO2 may not be noticed by the affected person. Ideally, clear your lungs in outside fresh air after using the grow room. Another person should be present to check you do not have blue fingernails and do not spend too long in the grow room.
CO2 is safe to use when used in a responsible manner. As we are unable to control your use of CO2 systems we feel it necessary to ask you to learn more about CO2 poisoning before use.
