Setting up your system. Pour Perlite or Coco fibre into the upper growing planter. (If using coco follow the instructions on the coco brick first, making sure to rinse thoroughly). Mix your nutrients up in a watering can or bucket with the water. Pour the mixture in through the top pot of your system making sure to soak the Perlite or coco through. Planting out. Plant seeds just below the surface and keep moist with water daily until sprouted. Keep Planter out of full sun until plants are at least a week old. If transferring from Perlite or Rockwool cubes, simply plant into system. If transferring from soil, rinse the soil gently off the roots, taking care not to damage the roots. If you are concerned that a soil disease is likely, soak the roots in a mixture of Hydroshield for 10-20 minutes to kill any micro-bugs. Running your Hydroponic Planter System Keep enough nutrient in the bottom tank to feed the wicks. When adding nutrient; add nutrient through the Perlite to ensure uniform moisture.
